Nepali handicrafts are exported to India
Bhaktapur is also known for their craftsmanship .They has been doing the business for generation. And it is traditional and a family business. They have been feeding their family from this profession.
The wood carving is one of the products which have become very popular in and outside the Nepal. Before they use to sell in the local market and tourists and earning was also good but later they started to export to foreign countries. Since past few years, some of the art lover from Delhi has shown their interest on these products, the demand has become so high that they are not able to take new orders .They likes handicraft products of Nepal due to cheap labor cost and fine quality.
Most of the products they produced are wooden carved statues of Ganesh ,Bhairab Masks etc. They are selling those products through agents only.In one lot , more than Rs150000 products are sold to agent and agent export those products in the international market.
