Hisila Yami, Maoist Minister for Tourism, bungee jumped from 160 meters high Bhotekoshi suspension bridge over the river. She was promoting Nepal as an exotic adventure destination as part of the Nepal Tourism Year 2011.

she says ,it was thrilling and exciting experience for me and i felt like bird flying in the sky, but I was not scared as I jumped in the forest many times during the decade of armed conflict," said Yami, after participating in the jumping event on Tuesday, ultimately, a spectacular natural bungee site near Tatopani border area along the highway Kodari.
She was accompanied by more than a dozen, in particular the first Nepali woman sky-diver Maya Gurung and Everest summiteers Pujan Acharya, Asha Singh and Ngawang Phuti Sherpa.
The Last Resort was established in 1998 in Nepal, which is also the third highest bungee site in the world with a record 8 seconds of free fall in the swing and 4 seconds of free fall in the regular jump. The site also has great opportunities for whitewater canyoning .
Yami, wife of Finance Minister and senior Maoist leader Baburam Bhattarai, said she has been involved in the sport since her years at the University Of Delhi School Of Architecture in 1980, where she was awarded as the best athlete.
