Act Locally, Think Globally takes BC’s green film trophy
Santosh Nepali and Ishu Lama’s documentary film Act Locally Think Globally won the first prize worth RS 60000 at the UK –Nepal climate Change Film Competition which was organized by British Council, the British Embassy and the UK Government’s Department for International Development (DFID) where general people were invited to make short films of up to three minutes in length on the theme of climate change.
The Second prize worth Rs 40000 to film Jeroparaday made by Shiva Sharan Koirala,where as Binod Kumar Dhami and Padam Raj Paneru’s 3c’c of climate Change was awarded Rs 30000 as third prize.
A total of 124 documentary makers had participated in the comoetition.The award winning film will be shown at the Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festivals 2009 scheduled for December.
